The Legend of a Royal Sport

The word “Polo” finds it’s roots in the Tibetan word “Pulu”, meaning ball.

Originally Polo was played in Gilgit, Chitral and Manipur in India. The game flourished during the Mughal period and was a popular sport with the Emperors , who called it “Choughan”.
